The person behind SidelineCut

Built on the sideline, shaped by the next match.

Dr Liam Noonan is a third-level lecturer and a performance analyst with Upperchurch–Drombane GAA. He develops SidelineCut from the problems he meets while recording matches, reviewing video and preparing evidence for coaches.

The project has grown from practical video and match-tagging work into a set of tools for live capture, player and zonal possessions, match reports and longer-term club analysis. Each step has been tested against the time, attention and connectivity available at a real match.

That experience keeps the aim simple: help a club find useful evidence, discuss it clearly and prepare for what comes next.

SidelineCut supports coaching judgement. Results belong to the players, coaches, management and wider club.
